Jungle Fever Ice Blocks

Posted December 21st, 2013 by Mimi

I love coming up with new, fun treats for the holidays.

I made these cute and yummy ice blocks yesterday for less than the price of one Paddle Pop. I used the Simple Savings ice block molds from Ye Olde Shoppe and they look great.

You need:

1 packet orange jelly

Lolly bananas

Black food colouring

Then just:

Make up the jelly using only half of the required amount of water. So, about 250mls. Allow it to cool slightly.

Cut the lolly bananas in half lengthwise and sit them in the channel of the iceblock mold, ensuring you have the stick in first.

Pour the slightly warm jelly into the molds carefully.

Dip a skewer in to the black food colouring (any colour will do but the black is fun), and swirl the skewer in the lower half of the ice block so it's tinted a cola colour, leaving the top section orange.

Freeze for several hours or overnight.

Enjoy!
