Our local bakery sells their products that were made yesterday (bread, rolls, buns, croissants and so on) for half price - still fresh and yummy, but at half the cost! My kids and I love their six-pack of bread rolls, at the low price of $1.50.
There are a couple of lovely ladies that serve in the store who are always quick with a smile and a chat about your day. The place is clean and well-stocked with goodies. There is never any pressure to buy other than what you came in for.
'Yesterday's stock' is available every day (unless sold out) and is on a special rack just inside the door. The loaves (white, wholemeal, multigrain, sliced or unsliced), rolls (sometimes specialty ones like cheese and bacon, or pizza), and buns (finger, custard, and so on) are usually all priced the same at $1.50 each. Sometimes they will have muffins and other goodies bagged up in threes or fours for the same price.
