This is our local library, and the savings and service here are second to none! Our rates pay for the privilege of attending this venue, and the marvellous staff always make you welcome and are never too busy to assist with queries.
You can obtain books, videos/DVDs/CDs and audio books on all subjects and interests. Plus you can get computer access to the Internet. There is even a gentleman who will assist with family history research and others who will assist with computer skills. The library has U3A courses for older people who wish to meet other like-minded people to learn about other countries, languages, skills such as painting and so on. There are also several book clubs with times to suit working people, retirees and families. Children and young people are also catered for with reading and craft sessions twice a week and school holiday activities for all ages.
Guest authors are invited to give talks on various topics, these are free and open to everyone. These are always interesting and informative.
You do not have to be an enthusiastic reader to realise how much you can save just on books alone, and with all the additional technology available for free, this is a must-visit venue.
