Kingston Old Bus Depot Markets plant stalls 21 Wentworth Avenue, Kingston, Australian Capital Territory, Australia, www.obdm.com.au/

On the lower level of the Kingston markets, near the food stalls, is a plant stall where they have good sized healthy herb and vegie plants. I recently got some pots of lemongrass, oregano and advanced pumpkin plants for $2 each that were half the price, yet double the size of the standard herb pots that you would buy in a nursery or large hardware store.

The markets are open every Sunday from 10am - 4pm. Heaps of information is on their website.

I agree, this is one of the best places to buy herb, vegie and some ornamental plants in Canberra. The same group also has a stall at the Southside Farmers' Market on Sunday mornings at the Phillip CIT. (Same types of plants, same pricing, same post it note tickets!)

I like to take my empty pots back to the stall so they can keep their costs down.

I also take my empty laundry basket, because I always purchase lots of pots from the stall. They have regular herbs and vegies, but they also have some more unusual food plants, which you definitely won't find anywhere else for $2.

A gem of a stall for plant lovers in Canberra!
